Precise jog wheels and faders for mixing
2 JOG WHEELS
Emulate vinyl turntables so that turning the jog wheel moves the cursor backward or forward within music tracks to select the cue point where playback will start for the audience.
Add effects to music playback such as instant speed up, instant slow down, and scratching.
Settings
Adjustable resistance; makes the jog wheels more or less resistant, according to the DJ's preference.
Adjustable accuracy; mix with jog wheels set at their default accuracy, or divide it by 2 or 4.
Use with
Scratch On/Off button; changes the jog wheels' function
Fine tuning; slow down or speed up playback, like when a DJ gives a record a push.
Scratching; makes a scratch sound, like when a DJ puts his hand on a record during playback (stopping the record's rotation) and moves it backward and forward.
6 FADERS (SLIDERS)
1 Cross fader
DJ Console Rmx plays 1 stereo music track per deck (2 stereo music tracks simultaneously). The cross fader moves between the left and right decks, allowing the DJ to adjust the mix between the 2 tracks.
Setting the cross fader completely to the right means that the mix (the music the audience hears) comes 100% from the right deck; the audience doesn't hear the music played on the left deck.
Setting the cross fader in the center means that the music comes 50% from the left deck and 50% from the right, and so on.
Adjustable cross fader curve; the DJ Console Rmx control panel menu lets the DJ set the cross fader curve.
Linear curve; when the cross fader is set at 25% away from its left end, the mix is 75% of the music played on the left deck and 25% of the music played on the right deck.
Bell curve; when the cross fader is set at 25% away from its left end, the mix is 60% of the music played on the left deck and 40% of the music played on the right deck.
Short curve; when the cross fader is set at 25% away from its left end, the mix is 50% of the music played on the left deck and 50% of the music played on the right deck.
The cross fader curve used depends on the DJ's style of mixing (linear or bell curves are good for smooth transitions, while a short curve is good for sharp transitions).
2 Pitch faders
Change the pitch = change the playback speed of a track, increasing or reducing its BPM (Beats Per Minute) rate, in order to make dancing easy by setting new music tracks at the same BPM as the previous track so that dancers don't need to change their rhythm during the transition from one track to another.
Changing the pitch changes the music's speed and tone; faster means higher tone, slower means lower tone. The DJ can keep the same tone by enabling the master tempo effect before changing the pitch so that the pitch slider only changes the tempo instead of the pitch.
3 Volume faders
"Deck A volume fader" controls the volume of the music played on deck A.
"Deck B volume fader" controls the volume of the music played on deck B.
"Main volume fader" controls the master volume.
Changing the volume on deck A or deck B lets the DJ adjust transitions between the 2 decks.

Technology
BPM = tempo
Beats Per Minute; this represents the rhythm, the number of audible beats in a piece of music per minute. The greater the number of BPM, the faster the tempo of the music is for dancers. A slow song is often between 70 and 90 BPM, while dance songs average around 120 BPM, and Trance songs can approach 160 BPM. The tempo is the number of BPM.
Synchronization
Synchronizing two pieces consists of setting them at the same rhythm (giving them the same number of beats per minute) and adjusting the beats to line up at the same time (by slowing down or stopping the second piece to restart it at the precise moment when the device plays the beat of the first piece).
Cross fader
The cross fader is a horizontal slider moved to the right or left, whose position determines the mix between an audio track played on the right deck and an audio track played on the left deck. For example; when the cross fader is completely to the right, we hear 0% of the audio track on the left deck + 100% of the audio track on the right deck = we only hear the sound on the right deck. When the cross fader is completely to the left, we hear 100% of the audio track on the left deck + 0% of the audio track on the right deck = we only hear the sound on the left deck. When the cross fader is in the center, we hear 50% of the left audio track + 50% of the right audio track = we hear the left and right tracks at equal volume.
DJ
Abbreviation of Disc Jockey; a person who selects and plays music at a party.
Equalization / EQ
Equalization is the adjustment of sound split up into frequency bands, often in the form of bass, medium and treble frequencies. Equalization consists of increasing or decreasing the volume of a frequency range; for example, increasing bass (frequencies from 20Hz to 150Hz) by 12dB and decreasing treble and mediums by -12dB. Equalization helps to make music more danceable; as bass frequencies provide the main rhythm, increasing the bass can make dancing easier. Equalization can also help to mix 2 pieces of music; by cutting the bass from track A to mix it with track B (where the mediums and treble have been cut), a hybrid of the rhythm of track B is superimposed over the melody of track A. A piece's tonality is affected by the equalization adjustment.

The Xone;42 is a new compact 4 -channel DJ mixer w/USB audio interface, designed for DJ's of all abilities and experience from top pro DJ's to bedroom enthusiasts who want a compact quality mixer w/pro features. From inputs to outputs, we created Xone;02 to be the world's greatest battle / scratch mixer. The crossfader is a deluxe Penny and Giles VCA design, reversible, they all have contour controls and they can all be easily replaced by removing the steel faceplate. We've kept the fader area clear for action and we've kept controls like pan and EQ out of the way on low profile sliders. Even the transform switches can be rotated to work the way you like them. Digital Audio Controller / Converter
The Xone;2D is a combination of a 9 stereo channel USB 2.0 soundcard and MIDI controller, which DJ's can combine w/their existing analogue mixer to create a complete Digital DJ mixing system, perfect for integration w/DJ software such as Ableton Live and Traktor DJ Studio. Search Options

File Explorer Mode
Allows users to browse through files and directories as if they were using a computer, showing them the directory structure and file names exactly as they exist on the storage device. DJs w/their own organizational system can navigate it quicker than using the database.
String Search
Users can search by a certain word or phrase to find tracks on their storage device, even if they're unsure of the name. When the user inputs a keyword, it will search all Artists, Titles, Albums, and Genres, and show all matches to that keyword. For instance, searching for the word 'LOVE' might bring up (3) artists. It might also find (60) titles, (10) albums and (1) genre. The user can then select the artists, titles, albums, or genres from that list.

AC or battery power, take your choice. The M-10MX comes w/an AC adaptor, but it can also operate on battery power (four AA batteries). Versatility
Connect a wide range of audio devices to the M-10MX, including dynamic microphones, musical instruments, consumer audio devices, video equipment, and audio interfaces for computer audio. The M-10MX's versatile back panel offers 1/4" and RCA input and output ports, plus a dedicated plug-in powered, stereo electret condenser microphone jack, suitable for use w/mics such as the EDIROL CS-15. For outputs, two TRS impedance balanced 1/4" phone jacks are provided.
Digital Outputs
The M-10MX is equipped w/both coaxial and optical S/PDIF 24-bit/96kHz digital audio outputs, which means you can connect it directly to the S/PDIF digital input of any audio interface, such as the EDIROL UA or FA-series units for recording and mixing entirely in the digital domain. The M-10MX can also be connected digitally to studio monitors such as the EDIROL MA-series or Roland DS-series powered monitors.

Whether you need to add a dab of reverb or delay to a live vocalist's mic or warp a hard day's studio session into psychedelic quicksand, the SX3242FX has you covered. We gave this mixer two independent studio-grade 24-bit stereo FX processors w/99 awesome presets to provide the perfect sonic garnish. "Sure they're great for live sound, but I have a lot of cool plug-ins for recording," we can hear some of you saying. Truth be told, you never have too many effects. and when you hear the quality of the SX3242FX's FX, you may want to give your overworked CPU a rest.
Naturally we gave you a whole palette of creative effects like reverb, chorus, flanger, delay and pitch shifter tones, as well as mind-bending multi-effects to take your sound out of this world. But you also get problem solving workhorses like compression and gating plus final effects such as Ultramizer, Ultrabass and Exciter that can put a PA or studio mix over the top. and because there are two processors, you can cue two separate effects, then apply one or both to channels 1 through 20 - compression for the vocalist, reverb for the vocalist and snare drum, for example.
What the heck is "British EQ"?
A good thing to have on your side when you start reaching for those channel equalization knobs. At a live concert or in the studio.
Think of it as kinder, gentler, more musical EQ like the type found on classic British consoles from the 60's and 70's. Single malt scotch instead of everclear. Home-baked cherry cobbler instead of an artificial cherry lollypop.
British EQ's distinct configuration of wider curves/lower Q and harmonic phase characteristics allows you to add or subtract EQ more generously than you can w/conventional EQ circuit designs. When you add low midrange, you get a firmer sound instead of a nasty bonk. When you back high frequencies off a bit, treble backs off just a hair instead of turning muffled.
All SX3242FX mono channels have low and high shelving plus a sweepable "midrange" you can move anywhere from 100Hz to 8kHz. Think of it as your roving English troubleshooter.

When it comes to suppressing feedback, the SX3242FX is like having a bloodhound trained to spot trouble frequencies a mile away.
The 9-band graphic EQ (which you can choose to apply to your main mix or monitor mix via the MAIN/AUX1 button) features the FBQ Feedback Detection system. It makes finding and adjusting critical frequencies a snap. Just push FBQ IN, then watch as LEDs on the individual EQ sliders light up, indicating which frequency bands are causing feedback. Simply adjust until the LED goes dim.
The Ins and Outs
Some manufacturers make what they call 32-input mixers that count stuff like CD/TAPE IN as an input. But the SX3242FX really gives you twenty-four honest mono channels plus eight stereo channels, making it easy to accommodate a variety of studio or live performance configurations. You can connect up to 24 microphones or other mono instruments and up to four stereo instruments (keyboards or tone modules, for example).
